My name is Torrence Dunham and I am a multimedia journalist for SignalsAZ.com.
Since graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from The Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University in May of 2016, I have continued adding to my skill set with professional positions at local media outlets in northern Arizona.
In the newsroom, I strive to be a reporter who can cover a story in a variety of different formats. I have shot and edited video for television and online/social media audiences as well as wrote digital stories with photographs I took myself.
While I have a very diverse background in ways to tell a story, I also have a multitude of experience in different topics including local news and government, professional sports, entertainment and events.
The ability to perform as a multi-skilled journalist who can cover various topics was imperative when I was hired to help launch SignalsAZ.com-Talking Glass Media in Prescott Valley, Arizona. As the organization’s first multimedia journalist, I cultivate sources and produce hyper-local stories both in video and written format.
I have helped grow the website to be viewed by thousands each day not only in Prescott Valley but across the quad cities area of northern Arizona, which combines to have over 103,000 residents.
I assist SignalsAZ.com in standing out from other news agencies through the production of short to medium-length videos with an emphasis on Facebook distribution. The content that I have shot and edited has resulted in over 42,000 combined views on Facebook so far.
In addition to my skills with different media formats, topics and social media, I also have experience using AP style, WordPress.com publishing, Microsoft Office, the Adobe Creative Suite, Apple and Windows computers.
As I continue in my career, I look forward to learning new things and adding to the multimedia journalism skill set I received at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication as well as from experience as a professional in the industry.
This website features some of my favorite stories, videos, audio clips and photographs that I produced during my time as a professional in northern Arizona and in college.
